It feels like what is happening now is that the power still copies everything, but then it dumps the items in inventory when the copy is finished. Unfortunately, that is what happens. The other thing that sometimes helps is having the same spell cast on the weapon again (in this case: keen) as in the spell hooking it should remove any previous instances of that spell on the blade before adding the new instance. That doesn't always work either, though.

I agree on the comments about wings and being hidden by cloaks. It doesn't make a great deal of sense. Official Ruling on it.
