how about adding a 2 tier system to the scrying DC. A set DC as is now with the RP rule for scrying people you don't know, and a second tier system set up by use of an item, that sets someone as "well known" to the caster. Make the use of the item obvious so that it can't be done secretly ...

It's perfectly reasonable that Sarakin saved this dragons life and in paying off its debt became Sarakins companion (how Aiq came about maurice long before Sara had her dragon). Chaotic Evil also doesn't make them compleatly incompatible. This is very valid...so long as it happened IC. Don't milk d...

just to clarify (cos I'm feeling paraniod), my observations weren't based on any persons actions. They were in the most part hypothetical, influenced by observations on the game as a whole covering a number of different issues.

Whilst I'm all for RP with summons, within reason, certain things do grate after a while. I'm a great fan of the "it does what it says on the tin" school of thought, so if you summon a balor, you've got yourself a balor. Have fun and RP accordingly. IMHO, If you summon a red dragon, RP you...

when you say "patch file" what do you mean? you need to put the zip file in the same folder as the nwmain file. ...also, when you say you "Thought the last update was for the 1.66 version update", do you mean you DL'd the patch labelled 1.66 or 1.65? You need the 1.65. Guessing e...

if you can't write your own songs, no that does not bar you from playing a bard. It does however cause you problems should you want to hold performances. You say that giving OOC credits ruins an RP feel, well so does having someone "sing" a modern day song in game, as much as talking about...

I know... it was a long and painful process and involved a lot of log watching to see when a file had a case problem.

Linux (though I'm in no way a linux guru... or even a linux newbie for that matter :P )

I've done most of the work to get over the case issue on the 2da tables, just stuck on the variables. Pretty sure I have 9 as I didn't DL it till about september last year.

having problems with autobic (not on hala). Once it has edited the file, it no longer seems to save local int's on the character. Is this something you've encountered, and if so, did you find a fix? This is the favour part. If you have a fixed version of the java program not the 2da's or anything el...

The biggest obstacle any "subtle" evil character has on Hala is the Detect Evil feat that the paladins get....hate that ability. Personally, I can't see why. I'm prolly one of the most Detect Evil happy players out there and I've never used it (to my memory) on anyone that wasn't blatent ...

much of the recent events are centered around bringing out a more ysgard feel (as Arkon mentioned recently). I think that statement alone was an admission that some of the events up to that point had missed out on their ysgard feel. Jumping on that point now seems somewhat belated and redundant.
