Re: IG Quotes.
OOC: Yes, the quotes are from this game. People post what they think are particularly funny or clever quotes, to share with everyone. I don't know how to make logs; Akai set it up to do so for me automatically. There are no actual rules or guidelines, but if there were I would say try not to post re...

Re: Question on NPCs
Question: "What about NPCs that have scripted options that turn them hostile? (FOIG for the only example I know of) is triggering those and killing them ok?" In the case you cite (if I recall correctly), the scripted option that turns the NPC hostile is a stated intention to murder him, so...

Re: Question on NPCs
Also, if an NPC has a scripted conversation that is grumpy or rude, PCs can certainly refer to the NPC's grumpy or rude attitude in IC posts, conversations, and emotes.

Question on NPCs
Heya, I received this as a DM from a player, and I thought it might be useful to discuss it on the open forums: "How does the team generally want PCs to handle IC write ups of NPCs in dungeon runs? Say, prisoners or corpses. I know you all don't want to say each time who is rescuable and who is...

All good wishes to you and to your family. Hoping for the best possible outcomes in all cases.
Please convey particular condolences for the loss of the cat, and know, if it helps at all, that there are people here who understand the magnitude of that heartache. *strong hugs*

Ahoy, all you scurvy dogs! If you don't wish Akai a HAPPY BIRTHDAY on Talk Like A Pirate Day, I'll have the lot of you keelhauled!

Non-PC subdual
When no DM is present, PCs cannot emote subduing (knocking out) spawns (bandits, monsters, animals, etc.), unless they actually have and use the means to subdue such spawns (for instance with a sleep spell). If a DM is running, then subdual may be possible; ask him how he wants to handle it. If he s...

Re: OOC talk in game
The rules on OOC talk in game have been relaxed a bit since this topic was last bumped. I have zero problem with a little bit of OOC friendly chat, but it should still be kept to a minimum, and IC should predominate by a large percentage. We are pretty informal and not as strict about this as other ...

Re: The most unusual thing
Heh. I was going back through old posts searching for a certain song when I came across this, and noticed that I had never answered it! D'oh! Now I'm looking around the room for the most unusual thing here... Lots of neat stuff, but...aha! I have a jar of dried four leaf clovers! That's pretty unusu...

The Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas has had a skeleton crew 24-7 through the flood keeping the ISS flying. They have a new logo modified from the official one, and the Latin is "Ad Astra Per Aquam", which translates as: "To the Stars Through the Water" :D (would show the l...

Re: Skill Mechanics Question
I believe the cap is 12? So you can only get to plus 12 in anything with items. The bonuses you already have from your feats and classes and etc. do not count in this total, I think? But spells do count, I think. Don't take my word as gospel, though; I suck at game mechanics. But somebody will soon ...

A plea from a person with iffy eyesight
Heya,
I have a really hard time reading the blue colored words in posts. Purple is fine, though, and probably other colors. Also, I have a really hard time reading tiny lettering. But I'm really nosy and curious, so please, for my sake, don't use tiny lettering and blue words? Thanks!
