i like the idea. i'd do it as they are earned.. otherwise you run into the problem of trying to remember everyone who had a part in the plots... i'd give them out at the end of event nights or something. I would do it as one token though... each person who takes part in the plot gets a "DM Plot...

actually.. i'm pretty sure i know exactly what the cause is. 1.69 changed some of the VFX so the VFX that most of those abilities used is now the splinter one... i just need to get the gumption to fix it.
