Magic Circle Against Alignment

I don't know if it's the spell or my character, but each time I cast magic circle against alignment it only lasts for about ten seconds, yet the duration on the spell says one hour / level...

It's the spell. Whenever you leave the aura, the spell will end.

Considering the PnP spell, this isn't actually inexpicable (you draw a circle on the ground, etc) but it is a bug. It's because onheartbeat scripts are set to a very low priority to keep lag down, and this causes the aura spells and persistant AoEs to function improperly in a lot of conditions. Last I heard, Avlis had a working fix for this that was in testing.

Hehe, that spell has been bugged since NWN came out. Essentially the spell works exactly as described....until you physically LEAVE the circle created by the casting. That's right it does NOT move with you. So if you find yourself pinned down in some hallway or something where you cant move more than 10 feet , that spell rules. If not, well, it's worthless. :)

I am sure i rember using it when NWN first came out. And magic circle traveled with you then. I think it got broke with one of the early patches and never got fixed.


Wierd though that the cleric spell battle tide does travel with you when its cast i assume it must use simular script to magic circle against alignment.
