Items dumped in inventory on log in

Post by Moonyju »

Ok. I don't know if this qualifies as a bug, but I prefer reporting it, just in case.

Twice now I have had items dumped in Yana's inventory on log on. Items are all stackables (potions, gems, ammunitions, scrolls). On both instances, I remember not having the items in my inventory when I logged off, after resting and saving. Either the items were shared with the rest of the party or I gave them to collectors or I put them in a chest, or even sorted them in bags, but they were not loose in my inventory.

As an aside, the first time it happened, I had DPed the night before and this was the first time I logged on after that, so I thought it was related to that.
The second time, I didn't DP.
However, all items are items I found in remains of critters during the last crawl I was on, not items I already had in my inventory.

And yes, I did trash all the items on both occasions.
I can send logs if they could be useful. =)

Thanks for reporting this. It's a long standing death bug that we haven't been able to find the cause of yet. Trashing the extras was perfect.

Ah so it is mainly linked to DP then? Interesting.

But the second time I didn't DP, not even fell to bleeding script, if that helps putting a finger on what causes it.
