RL strikes again anyway... will have to move this to Saturday 13th September, but same time.
For those with additional meetings ect to sort out regarding the plot, nudge me in IRC or PM me here when you're available and what you want to do...

I'm really sorry to mess people about, but I ~might~ have to put this back another week - just can't be sure yet.
The long and short of it is my better half's daughter has acquired a rather rare blood condition, so much of our time is being swallowed up with hospital visits (in another city as they don't have the specialist consultant in ours and she's having to have blood/plasma tranfusions every day for 7-10 days) and having the grandson when needed.
If we're lucky she'll be discharged on Friday, but no guarantees, so purely a case of playing it by ear for now.
I'll let you know for sure on Friday.

Sorry for the late notice, but will have to move this on a week.
Apparently my car didn't like Sophie getting all the attention for being ill, so that's decided to break down on me too!
((company car at least, so no additional expense))

General update... Sarah was taking Alex up today while I had the grandson... her car died on the way there (head gasket). So yes, that's two cars in two days. We clearly both pissed something off in a previous life.
However, minor silver lining, I remembered I'm insured on my dad's car (he lives in Spain most of the time so his car is free) so we're hoping for a clear journey tomorrow!
Sophie's platelets have dropped back to a dangerously low level, so we're determined to get up there by hook or by crook at least for moral support.

Rather than keep moving it on, i'm going to put it on hold for now.
We're hoping there will be more positive news by the end of this week as she's receiving an additional type of treatment now which suppresses her immune system (and thus slows the production of the anti-bodies that are actually harming her).
She's still on full treatment with tranfusions but the drop in her platelets levelled off again and they've started to rise again, all-be-it much slower this time, so everything's just day by day.

Update...
She seems to be responding well to the additional treatment and while she has still dropped a couple of times, her platelets rose yesterday even with a transfusion.
If they stabalise and rise again with either less or no transfusion, she could possibly be discharged early next week and only have to go back in as an out patient.
All in all things are slowly looking up, but still one day at a time!
