Send a tell to the person to let them know ahead of time what they're in for. Also, not many of my characters carry Raise Dead or Ressurrection scrolls and they're almost always low on kits so I'll try hard not to dp someone. If it happens, it's an accident and you can expect lots of appologies from me.

Make sure they agree not to attack you when raised. There are some oinks who would think it quite acceptable to requip and start the fight again after you raise them.

If they do that, then deathplane them again, and don't raise them. They're asking for it.

Not only that but they violate the gentlemens rules and become open to looting then :) so those oinks best be advised of that.

((By the way on a side note if your going to do PvP read the gentlemens rules and stick to them))

Just remember, in the heat of the moment...sometimes people forget those rules.

I've attacked without setting to hostile, I've spammed IKD, I've even used a Bigsby's and then attacked (a dm). Sometimes in the heat of Battle you only think of winning, just give your opponent the benefit of the doubt and have fun.

And if all else fails, pull a Dune....Timestop and Horrid Wilting. Wash, rinse, repeat.

What you're looking for is Momento Mori, from the Epic Level Handbook.
It's a silent, stilled free action. Kills up to 160 hit dice! That's a level 160 character.
-----------------
Momento Mori

Necromancy [Death]

Spellcraft DC: 86

Components: None

Casting Time: 1 quickened action

Range: 300 ft.

Target: One living creature

Duration: Instantaneous

Saving Throw: Fortitude partial (see text)

Spell Resistance: Yes

To Develop: 774,000 gp; 16 days; 30,960 XP. Seed: slay (DC 25). Factor: increase to 160 HD (+8 DC), quickened (+28 DC), no verbal or somatic components (+4 DC), +10 to DC of subject’s save (+20 DC).

As a free action that counts as a quickened spell, the character wills the target dead without a word or gesture. The character’s thought snuffs out the life force of a living creature of 160 or fewer HD, killing it instantly. The subject is entitled to a Fortitude saving throw (DC 30 + relevant ability modifier) to have a chance of surviving the attack. If the save is successful, the target instead takes 3d6+20 points of damage.

from 0xp and 0gp loss on level 5 to 450xp and 1200 gold on level 6 seems a rather hard jump :?

Just make sure you're with someone with a raise dead/res.

Yes, it's slightly higher than other servers, but it does instill "party = good" attitudes and a healthy regard for personal safety, rather than "Doesn't matter if I die, I'll just get my stuff and pretend it never happened" which is prevalent throughout most PWs out there.
I think, therefore I am right. QED.

You would have lost more had they not taken out the penalty for levels 1-5. That seems like a very reasonable penalty to me.

i died on level 1-5 far less then on level 6. Now its where one can actualy go somewhat more challanging places instead always beetle cave or mirtho goblins or rats.

Yes i know, and i like the idea basicaly, especialy that you actualy need to be raised rather then respawn like on avlis to get xp back. But even with new places hala is still harder on low levels rather then once you are past some point. To EU times here are only few people on normaly if any at all to group up and.. on low level its hard to affort raise dead scrolls. As i died first time i had 600 gp left, it might not have been even enought for invis potions if i had spawned somewhere further away... and not all towns have them anyways. So to get to your corpse is very very hard, taking the risk of lossing again and again that pretty large xp ammount i did not even do the run one time. Second time almost got almost killed half way to my corpse.

To sum up... as high level you have alot places to go with minimal chances to die, and who ever gets killed as epic did something very wrong (unless he is a outsider and gets word of faithed :P ) ... on low level less places and far greater risk to die ( - last time i was killed sudently by a goblin elite that decidet to make a 27hp crit  ), less gold

Area's globally are going to be getting a bit of a nerfing. As will a lot of other things as we prepare for a fully linked CoPaP again. And with the coming of good crafting, a lot of things will be changing.
