Portraits

Post by silverdragonams »

So this is my first attempt at doing art of any kind on a computer (minus a bit of photo editing). Don't laugh too hard

I think thats pretty good, though I always envisioned them as a little bit older looking for some reason.

What program did you use for that?

I love it! Totally Tris(tran) and Sara. *sigh* Another wonderful set of portraits that just leave me feeling talentless. :) Very impressive, Miss Amanda!

Daz|Studio (cause I'm too cheap to buy Poser)

Answer #1: I couldn't get them to look older in Daz|Studio without making them look goofy. I should try to go back over them in a regular picture editor, but GIMP makes my head hurt and I refuse to buy Photoshop (see above).

Answer #2: Both Tris and Sara were fairly young for half-elves when they settled in Ysgard. Sara was 30ish, and Tris was 50ish. Sara is now in her 90s (As near as I can figure) and Tris is a little younger, but the ageing process on Ysgard is very slow, so they wouldn't look much older than when they arrived.

Very impressive, Miss Amanda
Thanks!

And there's no way to make Sara's arms look less anorexic?

Other than that (and Tris' "I just ate a busload of children" smile), everything's good! :D

I should play with that a bit, though she is a 90lb weakling without her buffs

hahaha! Thanks! The cheesy smile is intentional, the whole scene is part of a running joke between Psye and I about how Tris is almost always walking just behind Sara. The tenative title is "What?! I'm just guarding the rear!"

Thanks ChukchiDog!

This wemic isn't anyone's character in particular. It started out as an experiment in creating a tauric creature by combining models. I got bored last night so decided to finish him up, and it just kinda came together.

This isn't a PC on Hala yet (at least not until we get linked), but I made this for Wyldhunt who plays a ranger elsewhere:

I badly need practice, so if anyone wants a portrait, pm me with a good description of your character.

For now a landscape. My husband has been teasing me over creating a flying Viking "Long-Junk"
