Though for the subjective nature of "Not Safe For Work"

Easiest way to be safe, is to make it a link and tag the topic/thread "NSFW" or "Potentially-NSFW"

Some of us work in Educational and/or Religious institutions, so the definition of "Appropriate" changes.

With a link, we could at least then leave the link unexplored until we reach a private setting.
