Missing Hala

Post by silverdragonams »

Having a lazy Saturday morning (ok...not exactly lazy, but stuck in limbo for the moment) and missing Hala so I thought I'd drop by to say hi. RL has been keeping be busy with trying to get my little business off the ground. And, ever since my youngest discovered how to use a mouse I've not been able to touch my gaming/art computer while he's a wake.

I've tried getting on IRC a few times but I can't stay connected long enough to even type a "o/". Not sure what the problem is there, but I think it's with my router. If anyone has a fix I'd appreciate it.

Anyway, I hope everyone here is doing well and having fun. I'm still lurking the forums and *checks forum title* yup, doesn't look like Arkon has fired me yet, so behave yourselves

Try unplugging your router for 15 seconds then plugging it back in. Sometimes routers inadvertently "block" things. (not the technical term for it but it is essentially what happens). If that doesn't fix it.. try doing the same for your modem and your router together. If that doesn't fix it... call your carrier. If they can't fix it... buy a new router :/

Outside of checking the boards at work I'm also of the 'RL took over' category.

Just need to win the lottery then I'll have plenty of free time... must be my turn soon...

Thanks y'all, for the hugs, cookies and everything.

I've tried all the usual ons and offs Arkon, and its a brand new router. I think its probably a setting that needs adjusting.

Sort of a moot point now anyway. My gaming computer fried yesterday.

Hi CD, just passing through :)

Might be worth looking for a firmware upgrade for the router (or enquring of your isp/router provider about firmware versions) something similar happened to me a few years back when they upgraded our local exchange, but kinda failed to mention it to anyone...
