Teleport spell, how does it work ?

Hoes does the teleport spell work ? Each time i try to teleport to nagritch , mithro or any other town on the list i get said that i dont know that location, and can only teleport to the special selected location.

I believe when you are at one of those towns/areas, that you have to memorize the location there, by that I mean there is a set object that you should select, but I will let you find those out IC as I have seen others show people ICly these locations. I believe that is how it works for arcane type spellcasters anyways, maybe all spellcasters.

Yes, the teleport spell needs to "lock" onto the area first. This keeps people from teleporting to places they have never been to. To teleport you need large amounts of knowledge of the area you're trying to go. Rather than have you spend 20 minutes in an area before being able to teleport there, we just put the "secret" lock locations down.
