Hala has a no jail time policy. What this means is that we don't put characters in Jail for a time unless it is a very rare case.
What we instead do is institute fines. Now, that being said... refusal to pay an authorized fine can lead to authorized DPing and confiscation of an item. That item is to be given back once the fine has been paid for or worked off. This is the way this will work.
Keep in mind that this is only for AUTHORIZED fines. Authorized means DM approval.
The only exception to this is if the player agrees to the PC jailing and then a DM needs to be notified by all people involved

This rule needs a really big bump, and has been needing it for a while.
Do not imprison another PC, with their permission or not, under any circumstances without notifying a DM. A DM must be on hand to mediate the situation and negotiate a reasonable fine if necessary. If a DM can not be present you'll either have to hit the pause button, or allow your prisoner to escape.
