Areas updated, a few areas added going along with my plot. And a piece of jewlery from one of my merchants is fixed to work the way it is supposed to, if you have one of these place them in a chest or let me know and I will get this switched out for you.

MAJOR UPDATE DAY!!!

Hala server has been split into two servers, tested, and is operational.

Hala and Ysgard

The connection information for Hala remains the same
The connection information for Ysgard is the same with the exception of the port number. Port for Ysgard is 5122. Password is the same as the original.

Updates to Spells

Weird, Wail, and Phantasmal Killer now respect their respective immunities.
Weird and Phantasmal killer now accept Saves as they should. You pass the will save, you don't have to make the fort save.

GMW updated to work with gloves. There is one bug though.

If any temporary enchantments are already on the gloves, they will be wiped when GMW is put on there.
IE. If Darkfire or Flame Weapon is cast, then GMW.. then Darkfire/Flame weapon will be wiped off.

The bonus from GMW is put in as such (AB +x Bonus Damage +X)

If you cast GMW, and then the damage mod (Darkfire/Flame weapon) It works as it should.

SCORCO Persistance has been added in both Hala and in Ysgard.

What this means is our Pchests are now True Persistance.

NOTE!!! This only applies to normal Persistant chests. Chests made with Chassagne's scripts are NOT compliant. These will slowly be weeded out of the module. The chests at the Starlight Inn are an example of a Chas chest.

The scripts at Minya Inn are an example of a SCORCO chest.

New Bleeding Code:

When you drop to bleeding, All NPCs "SHOULD" stop attacking you instantly and walk away from you, thinking you to be dead. THey will still register as hostile to you and will still attack you afterwards, but this will allow you the possibility of recovering and being able to escape a bad situation.

Enjoy.

New Anti-towing code is in and on the go. Please report any discrepencies to the Hala team Immediately.

What this also means is...

No more towing rules.

You may now party up with whoever you want, whenever you want, where ever you want.

However, helping a lowbie do a static quest that is obviously well outside their level will still get you pwned.

New Robes and Holy Symbols

Those of you who play on Avlis will be familiar with the Item Merging property that's been written by liephus and Deider. New holy robes and symbols of the Aesir have been made with these merging properties on them; no other gods are currently covered by this.
Snow wrote:Each and every one of those robes and holy symbols have a special ability that can be used unlimited times per day. When you have one of them on you can activate the ability and target a non plot item of the same type in your inventory. So you can target amulets for holy symbols and robes/armors for holy robes. When you do, you will lose gold equal to two times the toolset value of the targeted item and the item will disappear from your inventory. The holy robe/amulet will have absorbed all abilities and bonuses from the targeted item and will keep those along with the powers it already had. The new holy robe/item keeps its name and description and the only thing that really changes is that it now has the special abilities of the absorbed item. It is also plot so there is no longer fear of losing it or getting it looted after dying.

Keep in mind that if two items give the same type of bonus only the highest number will count. So if you merge an item that gives +5 to move silently with a holy item that gives +4 to move silently you will only receive a +5 bonus in total and not +9.

Important: You cannot keep adding abilities to a holy symbol or robe. Every time you merge a new item into one the old items properties will be lost (and so will the item) and only the new properties and the holy item's properties will be kept.
The gods this is for currently: Odin, Aegir, Baldr, Bragi, Forseti, Freyr, Freya, Heimdallr, Hel, Idun, Loki, Sif, Thor, Tyr, Uller.

The other properties of the items are based on the power of the individual gods. These items can be obtained by asking any DM nicely, so long as your worship the god in question.

Updated Ysgard server with the start of a new crafting system. The system is not useable yet, but you will notice that you will get a tradeskill journal on log in.

Please let me know if you get any script errors, or if you notice any other strangeness. I need to know the error and exactly what you were doing at the time.

Thanks!

New Summon Code Added

Some things to note about this.

Undead no longer exist. Undead summons will now call upon a creature that is "Deathtouched" These are creatures that relish in death and have grabbed hold of and harnessed it's power. Through this merging of the powers of death, they have gained some of the abilities of the undead.

Elementals: Elementals, as they are not native to the plane of ysgard, are now a bit more powerful as a summon. But they also have a chance to refuse to serve. There is now a % chance that an elemental summon will turn on the caster.

Selectable Summons: You may now choose what creature you want to summon. Use the radial menu to do this. (crafting slot)

Please report any bugs immediately.

Lots of script fixes this time. Please report any errors/bugs regarding the following:

#1 Pchests should work now

#2 Summons should all work correctly (i think)

#3 Drow should regain their SR after recovering from bleeding status

#4 WoF should no longer "banish" anyone with the secondary racial type Ysgardian (as is told by the server when you log in) Those who are natives to hala will have their status changed as soon as a DM finds you. Those who were born on other worlds may find themselves offered the chance to become native depending on how long they have played on Hala.

#5 New characters with 0 xp on the first time they log in should have the Ysgardian classification applied to them upon their first log in

#6. Broken Transitions fixed

#7. Various other assorted fixes/changes/additions.

Expect a lot of updates to crafting in the next few days.
So Far:

I think the persistancy problem is fixed. Crafting xp should stay with you through server resets.

Old crafting placeables in Ysgard replaced with new ones. A few areas cleaned up, a few merchants have adjusted their inventories, and a few fields have been replanted.

1. Added something for people to do besides craft and kill stuff. Especially geared toward new characters, but should be fun for everyone.

2. Added a related NPC quest, much like the goblin ring, or juice beetle quests.

3. Added a cooking placeable thats free for public use for anyone who cant afford a cooking kit. Also note, there are tailoring tables available as well. Crafting items are expensive because you are paying for convienence. There are free versions of the placeables scattered about.

4. Added a woodworking master.

5. Added a starting point on the Great Bridge on the Ysgard server. Anyone who is having problems starting in the Welcome Area on portaling can now jump to where they should be.

6. one of Nagritch's oldest merchants has had a change in inventory.

Spring cleaning! The first of many changes were made with the goal of cleaning up and reducing the module size.

edit (Psye): Also something to keep you all company on your lonely walks through the fields of Ysgard

In regards to spring cleaning, one of the more noticable changes are the alternate tilesets being used. This means that certain areas will look somewhat different to previously, but this isn't an IC change, so just carry on as per usual.

The maps are still roughly the same shapes and sizes, so you won't have to learn new routes or anything, it's merely their appearances that are now different.
