There has been a lot happening on Hala and Ysgard, not all of it good, and I feel it has left some feelings a bit on edge lately.

I know that after the last influx of nasty people a lot of players are not as friendly or as trustworthy as they once were. Ok, speaking for myself, I know I am not.

And I don't like it, Hala is my home dammit! and you are my neighbors and I want us all to live happily ever after, soooo........I have a suggestion that might help knit the community back a little.

How about a Fair? say in Mirtho or anywhere that we could set up events.
I was think that we could have some activities like:

an axe trowing contest
food table with the areas best cooks competing for the Fair's blue ribbon
a fortune teller (Scel said he could have his arm twisted to do this)
song/Poem/limerick contest
an auction of donated items....proceeds to go to the Orphanage
and for the more aggressive and violent inclined amongst us....maybe a friendly cvc contest

let me know if you think it might be an idea, I'd be happy to help arrange and donate prizes, but I need feedback and more suggestions.

I would suggest we do it one Sunday in May, maybe 13th, Mothers Day?, and maybe even regard it as the first of an annual event....the Mirtho Fair! something to look forward to each season.

...and yes.....I can't help it, my background is fundraising so I naturally think of Special Events to bring folks together.

Let me know what you think, shoot it down if it sucks......Redda

Seamus can set up a little shop (as well as anyone else who crafts)

Like the cook off

Need Spirits and wine tent!!!!!!

Mages can provide a firework show!

I'll come up with more.

There's actually a fair area in White Wood that was put in for this purpose, but never used.

Oh, and I third this. It would be fun. No need to discuss it here, though, someone just needs to actually start organizing it in game! =D

Another suggestion:

A raffle? Costs 500gp for a ticket. Winner gets the pot. Or half the pot and the other half donated to the Orphanage or other organization.
