Gems duping, many lost

Type of Bug/Exploit: duping
Area of Bug Exploit: morgans lair: bedroom
NPCs involved: none
Chests involved: morgans jewelery box
Timestamp on when it happened: checked around 11:15 am gmt 9 june
Frequency of occurance: dont know

I was showing my girl friend morgans cave and showed her morgans hoard. Somethig has gone wrong with the chest stuffed with gems. they have duped and many gems have been lost from the chest to make way for the others. Sadly for me it has pushed out all of the valuable ones from the chest, except for one stack of emeralds. Topaz, sapires, diamonds, rubies, emeralds and morgans beloved fire opals.

I dont know how many of each gem were lost, but it was at least 2 pages of diamonds for example.

Not too worried about the financial loss (but it is a shame :cry: ) but it took a lot of effort to amass the fortune. is it possible to restore the contents at all? it would not have changed for a few weeks. I dont know when th last time i checked it as.

Could you tell me what gems are duping? The "lost" gems should still be there, but just beyond the viewable limit of the chest.

malachite, amethyst, aventurine and phenalope look to be the main culprets. I will clear out some space and see what happens.

I think i need to be more selective in my hoarding....

I emptied the chest of just over 23 pages of green stone, and the rest of fire agate. after a reset they came back.

Is there anything I can do to get them out so I can get to the gems I want?

I did have one stack of emeralds that was on the first page, but it has not come back.

Do you have any idea how long ago it was that you last used the chest heavily? The reason I ask is that there is a fix for pchest duping in, but it doesn't retroactively fix anything that already got started before the fix was installed.

It has been a while. Basically EVERY gem i could get my hands on went into that chest. I have decided to be more selective now so i can free up some space....

Well, i have emptied the chest many times now, and each time it fulls up with greenstone again. I know i had quite a few of them, but not that many.... Also takes several minites to load so im guessing there are a hell of a lot of gems in it :wink:
