Apparently everyone with a GTX 400/500 series card is having the same troubles I am. Their are some possible work arounds, but no real solutions =(

I think the problem is that your PC is too good for NWN. I notice a definable deterioration in performance with NWN when i got a new PC a couple of years ago. I tweaked it and its okay now just standing around talking on Hala but still lags a bit in combat.

NWN is an old game now and was never designed for the new PCs. It does not seem to like dual core or better CPUs and will not perform well with them. One possible solution is to edit your NWplayer.ini file. You may also need to think about using an older driver.

update Hopefully you found a solution if not do a search for editing the ini file see what is suggested

Yeah, I'm alright. Certainly could have been a lot worse! Glad to see you here and about. Maybe one day I can pop in with Xai and we can go for a jog

Sometimes the newer vid cards have issues running NWN. See if your vid card manufacturer has any updates you can get ahold of. Also, check and make sure you don't have blur on on your card statistics. I had to work out a few bugs on my new rig too when I tried to run nwn.
