Can perhaps the names of some plants be changed without to brake the whole crafting ?
For example Ferrell corn and deglosian shimmerthingy. I believe it should be no problem as long the tag remains untouched.

I thought about doing that but
1. I'm not 100% sure changing the names of ingredients wouldn't break crafting.
2. No need to confuse everybody who already knows the Avlisian names and recipies
3.Floaty names are OOC anyway. A character that has never been to Avlis could very well call the plants whatever he likes
The way I've been RP'ing it is that while the portal between Hala and Avlis was open travelers brought with them spores and seeds stuck to their shoes and clothing. These spread all over Hala just as plants spread themselves in the real world.

pff.. who says they did not come to avlis from halaAsbendale wrote:Ill have to agree with silverdragonams here. Since most of us have been to avlis the plants could very well have come to hala with the players. To start changing the names of the plants will just make a lot of confusion.

Since my charter for one have traveled a lot from hala to avlis and back im sure he would have brought seeds back to hala and tryed to make em grow there since he is very dedicated to crafting.....so why go to avlis if you could get the plants to grow here, and i seem to remember that a crafting guild was started on Hala a long time ago and they planted all kind of plants from avlis...

Just an idea about crafting I had.
I'm not sure exactly how the selling of crafted items work.
If NPCs will buy everything you have or if they will buy so much then not buy anymore.
I can't remember if it was avlis that had the script but I remember hearing something about certain merchants buying stuff in bulk. Say, 100 shortswords etc..
The idea was to not flood the market with crafted junk items. This could easily be explained by hala's nature. Weapons break so armies such as bastions, nagrtch's, the grey and blue guys, would require a lot of weapons and armor and other 'crafted' items. This might make crafting quicker too? Well the selling of items to free up space.
Bad idea?

Avlis had a script that did that the merchants had a certan amout of gold so, if you had sold a lot to one merchant they at some point would runn out of gold and wouldent bye anymore, before thay had sold some items to bring the gold back up.....quit nice to be honest and well like in real life.
