The forums will be down for maintenance between 14:00 GMT and 16:00 GMT tomorrow. We will be updating to the latest version of phpBB, to hopefully keep out the bots that have been plaguing us recently. I do not expect anything to go wrong, and things might be finished within half an hour, but in case something does go wrong, except it to last the entire two hours.

There are still some problems with group authorizations. I'll get to them in due time. In the mean time, you don't have to be afraid that <random forum> got eaten by the update.

I played around with the layout of the forums a bit. Any suggestions, or comments, would be welcomed. If in the end, I stick with one layout: Don't worry, you can change it to fit your personal preferences in your profile.

Thanks to Themicles' recommending a plugin to me, the problem with bots spamming our forums with trojans has (hopefully) been solved. This will conclude all the updating.

If there are any problems, or recommendations, feel free to leave them in this thread or to PM me with them.

Is there anyway to change the theme to locally stay a certain format? I've noticed the character journal section has been altered, Looks nice, but takes forever to load, and is a bit hard on my eyes. Can I change this locally? or can we get a standard base? I like things simple personally. But am not familiar with the customization of PHPBB. It currently takes a good three to five times longer to load any of the themed pages, which doesn't seem to be local, as I rarely have any lag that is unusual regarding internet browsing.

That should be possible, but, for some reason, I can't find the option. I'll post more information when I know more. I might also just switch back the themes in the IC forums.

Just a couple of small things

If you change your theme in your prefrences, it doesnt override the chronicles theme you have set for the IC boards.

And, while it looks nice, I find it VERY difficult to read. Also, for some strange reason the spell checker on the google toolbar doesn't work on that theme (although its fine for the others). Please. pretty please set the IC boards back to the default theme?

Ah, I see.

I personally like the theme, but, I was under the assumption that people who set a different theme could override it. I moved them back to the normal theme, and those that like the look, can set it in their profile.
