Yeah I had the faulty RAM problem before and it could also be a reason.

I could never be sure without seeing the computer. But I doubt it's RAM, XP would encounter problems in all aspects, if DDR or SDRAM starts to cause faults. (Since OS tend to access both in the same way.) And I doubt you have any other kind of RAM. If the crashing only happens with NWN, it's likely a video error. Most likely tied with DirectX or a Driver. Though that's if it's only NWN crashing.
