NWN Log Catcher - Automatically Saves Logs

Post by Shannen »

Hi guys.

I know this is someplace else on the boards but I've been seeing lots of requests for it lately on irc, so started a new, hopefully easy-to-search for subject line for it.

It saves all dialogue and emotes automatically in your NWN Log folder, dates all of them, and sorts them in folders by month/year. I've been using it for 6 months or so now and it's WONDERFUL. Once in a while I am missing lines here and there and I'm not sure why, but it's nothing to complain about.

I use this too and it works great!

Only problem i have with it is it duplicates text lines.

Hm there's a way to keep this from happening and I did it - but I don't remember how! I think it was Diego or Terror2001 who knows . . . or maybe it was Marin. Post the question on #arkaz when they're around :)

I used to use it and for the most part it was pretty good. On ocassion it would loose part of the talk window but still not bad. Unfortunately it does not work on 64 bit Vista.

How do you save the logs yourself? I use Vista, so I doubt the autosave thing will work for me.

I use parselog: http://www.avlis.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=11418
Direct: http://www.izyk.net/avlis/parseLog/parselog.zip
It automatically renames your log file to a date/time stamped version so the log file doesn't get overwritten. I set up a batch file to just invoke parselog THEN run NWN.
