Sorry for the sudden disappearance last night! The power went out at the house. A look out the windows revealed that our neighbors shared our plight, and on the way to warmer quarters after learning that it would be several hours before power was restored (it is bitter cold here), it was discovered that the blackout stretched for several miles. Plan is to return tomorrow (later today) and hope that the power's back on and the pipes haven't frozen and the stuff in the fridge is okay.

The good news is the power's back on, and the stuff in the fridge is fine.

The bad news is the pipes did indeed freeze and we have no running water at present. Plus the van won't start. Whine.
