Do rangers cast strictly divine spells?
I want a dm ruling on this, as I always though clerics cast divine, rangers/druids cast natural magic that is pulled generally from the divine category.
I guess what I'm really asking is, must my drow ranger serve a diety inorder to cast spells?
Secondly if so, does anyone have a clue what drow diety would give divine spells of this nature to druids/rangers?

I am interested in this too. Acording to some sources low level spells can be cast from insight and rangers would be able to cast divine nature spells anyways only when they like druids serve the nature if they can not cast them through they inside. So uhm...i am interested in the hala ruling on this too. *hopes his druid did not cast illegaly spells from nature as force and goes back to jail field*

Would a ranger or druid be able to use the mentality that mother nature is in itself a force though not a named god and be able to draw power fromt hat?

And thanks micah ! Thats good and yeah i know *grins* gives a good reason to hate avlisan powers because they "enslave" the nature in they fangs.

Well, not strictly true - but you need a valid Avlissian deity (and it has to be one who can empower Druids, as well) to have level 4+ spells, on Avlis, which isn't such a big deal for Rangers.micah ormane wrote:Druid/Ranger magic is divine.
No, you don' thave to have a nature deity on hala to be able to access this magic. You do on Avlis, though.
Concise enough for ya?
On Hala, Ranger/Druid spells come from nature. No god is needed nor will ever be needed. It is my opinion tha druid/ranger magic comes from them being so intuned to nature and the elements around them that they have learned to harness the innate power of nature and use it to their advantage.
