I have recently updated my operating system to windows XP. And i have reinstalled NWN the install went alright but when i try to update i get the following message.

Patching the autopatcher.
Connecting...nwpatch.bioware.com
The system cannot find the file specified.
The patch has been aborted
I have never had trouble updating before so i am not sure what the problem is. Does it mean the bioware server is down in which case its just a matter of trying again (i did wait a couple of hours before i tried the second time) or i am i missing a file somewhere.

Most of the time, if you are missing something it will tell you to get the critical rebuild, so it is likely a problem on their end.
Or, it could be that you don't have your NWN folder in the default directory C:NeverwinterNights/NWN
If that is the case you can try downloading the update manually from the Bioware website.
