The server move has been completed. We are still working out a few bugs with portals and such.

Please inform us of any problems you encounter.

Not sure if you want reports about portals and such, since you know of the bugs with them. But if it helps, upon attempting to portal from Avlis I get:
There was an error. Retrying(1)...
There was an error. Retrying(2)...
There was an error. Retrying(3)...
There was an error. Retrying(4)...
There was an error. Retrying(5)...
Your character file could not be transfered successfully (an error occured). Portaling aborted.

Until the various worlds we are linked to update their DBs with the New Server Location info, portalling to and from will fail.

At this time only Hades has updated.

Portalling FROM Hala (or, rather, Ysgard) should work fine. It's just the other direction that won't work until everyone is updated.

I've heard talk of people making it to Avlis now... Not sure on official stance but id say good chance you have to make it if you tried.

just to echo more or less what's been said already, hala/ysgard to avlis will work fine. I used the portal over to avlis more or less a few hours after hala came back online without any problems. and i know of a few others who have also. it's getting into hala/ysgard from other servers which will be a problem until all the linked servers update. fingers crossed they'll all have it done soon :)

Seems to me that its ok from avlis at least now, havnt done it myself but another player went through to vlis and lost everything theyd got on hala, so portaled back to hala and then back to avlsi and this cleared the problem up.

I still can't portal from Avlis. :? Maybe just an issue with my character. I'll give it a few more days.

hmm ive heard this from other peopel so its not sorted yet. All i can think is that the player i knwo meant to say he Logged back into hala, not portaled.

Would the ports matter? I browse the list of available servers and double click the one i want, rather than typing in the address.

One of my characters was trying to portal to Ysgard for the first time and found herself in the OOC start area. This seemed inappropriate, so she logged off, waited an hour, logged back into Avlis, and tried again. Once again, she was in the Ysgard start area, though there was a load screen for another area (don't want to give the name because I assume it is IG knowledge) that then changed to a load screen for the start area. Is there something I need to do for her to portal to the correct IG location? I have reviewed posts in the forums, but cannot find anything relating to this issue. Thanks.
