Booted for epic feat

Post by szabot »

Ported to Hala from Avlis. Was booted from the welcome area. Text was something like "Spell level does not meet minimum requirement for Feat Epic Spell Focus: Necromancy." This used to happen on Avlis, too. Same problem occured with the epic auto-x spell feats and the other epic spell focus feats.

Apparently the problem was something like this: autobic did not correctly count pale master levels to determine spell level requirement for the feats. You must be able to cast 9th level spells to take those feats. Pale master levels count toward the requirement, but autobic doesn't count them correctly. This has been fixed on Avlis, so hopefully someone there could just share the fix? The bug report there is: http://www.avlis.org/bugs/bug.php?op=sh ... 932&pos=21

Thanks.

I hit the same problem with my character. It had to do with the races and their differences on Hala versus Avlis in regards to spell tables, et cetera. Arkon fixed it for me, and he would know a lot more about it.

And, right, if it helps: my character is Drangonari and is wizard 8, pale master 22, fighter 2.

It won't for this bug. We don't get any fixes from Avlis, lately (Their QA seems to throttle most things anyway), so it'll be fixed when a script monkey has time to look at our character legality checker. They'll post when they get to it.

Any script monkeys have time to look at this? I'll love you...or not. Your choice. But, either way, I'll appreciate it. :)

It shouldn't need any scripting to fix.

The 2da directory that ELC reads from should be updated with the latest top level Hak 2das (for any world that's the CoPaP Hak and whatever world specific 2da Hak is above it).
World Leader: Tairis'nàdur
Administrator: Confederation of Planes and Planets
Server Host & Web Monkey: Hala The Heroic Domain of Ysgard

Any chance of this getting done, please? :)

This should be fixed now, at least I hope so, though I haven't been able to test, for lacking of having an epic pale master. Anyways, if you could check and let me know.

Hi. Just wondering if you were able to check this out again, and, if so, if it's fixed. Thanks. :)

Everything that I have done, nothing seems to fix it, no one from Avlis staff seems to know how to fix it, I'm still searching for ways, may7be one of these days it will work.

Dang. It's fixed on Avlis (used to have the same problem there), so someone should be able to find it. (Easier said than done, I know.) Thanks for trying, and I'll keep hoping.

Cheers.
