I was all set to have Seamus march into the temple and read Ellistraee the riot act for her failure to act as yet another Drow looking for a better life got stomped by Lloth. Suddenly, in the middle of his tirade, he starts going off on all this other stuff and ends by pledging himself into Ellistraee's service. This was not my original intent, and I found myself very surprised as my fingers typed it out. I even backed up and tried to rewrite it, to no avail.
This was one of those bizzare RP moments where a character's history and makeup combine to make no other action possible, even if the writer has no idea about it at the time. I have no idea where this will end up, but it should be an interresting journey.
