In addition to asking people questions face-to-face, I thought I would get more objective feedback from you all by posting here! I'm going to post a list of questions that my classmates and I pooled together. Firstly, do not feel obligated to respond! Also, if you do decide to answer one or two (or all!) of the questions, and you need a day or two to think over your answers, feel free. This isn't due tomorrow!

Without further ado, here are the questions! (Actually, one more "ado". There is no "correct" answer. You don't need to Google anything to answer these questions. The purpose of the paper is to see what people's perceptions of mental health professionals are.).
1. What do you think a counselor does?
2. What is the goal of counseling?
3. Who goes to counseling and what types of problems might they have?
4. Would you recommend going to a counselor to a friend?
5. Is going to a counselor something you would consider?
6. What image do you have when you think of a counselor? (If you draw images from popular media, that's fine!)
7. Lastly, do you know the difference between certain types of mental health professionals (i.e, counselor, psychologist, psychiatrist, et al.)? If you think you know (or even if yo don't), take a stab at it and tell me what you think the difference between those three are.
To those who answered, thank you so much! You've really helped me out. To those who chose not to, no hard feelings.
