Rave: automatic emotes

Those are SO cool! I type *quiet hissing chuckle* and out comes the quiet hissing kobold laugh! I was stunned and thought, okay, somebody else has a really similar laugh for some reason. Then I do *listens intently to the mage* and out comes a die roll! WOOHOO!

Actually this only happens if someone uses a language wigit and starts it.

*shrugs* Well I don't have a language widget and I certainly didn't start anything. And hey, even if so, it's GREAT!!!

Using the widgets spawns an NPC called "The Voice". When this NPC is in the area, you don't need to use the widget for access to the commands.

However, it's a godawful system (because it results in lots of DM channel spam), and we're looking at changing it. Don't get too attached.

I tried doing emotes today and nothing. I was crushed.

So this thing starts up if anybody in the area has fired up their widget? It was a big group at the time so that would go a long way toward explaining things.

to change the laguage you speak you type

!speak (language you want to speak in)

example:

!speak elven

everything you say will be in that language till you switch back by doing

!speak common

theres a ton of different thing in that system and the team can decide what to use and what not to. so some of the commands listed may not be available when/if hala goes to it.

Heh, and I don't like the automatic emotes. I don't want to announce loudly to the world how tired I am when I ask Soleis why he looks tired, or stand up from a log that isn't easy to sit on to do a listen check every time I mention I'm listening to a story.
