Pronunciations

Post by SakanaUshi »

I met with Tremayne7 and Gregpooh for lunch yesterday. It was great to meet them and share stories. One thing that came up, though, is that in this very text-based game, we had come up with different pronunciations for the various names and places in the game. This led to some awkwardness in our speech, as we realized that we weren't really sure how people intended for names to be pronounced. So, in the interest of getting everyone on the same page, please post how you'd like your player name pronounced as well as how you imagine your characters' names would be pronounced.

My screenname is Japanese in origin, so it is pronounced SAH-kah-nah-OO-shee. My only developed character is Furin Firn, which I've taken to pronouncing FYUR-in FERN. I've also got a random elf named Amywienia or something like that. Just call her Amy.... :P
