SD's not so FOIG of the week

Post by silverdragonams »

I saw this the other day and thought "What a neat idea." So, I'm stealing a page from their book and starting the not so FOIG of the week.

Of course, Hala is nowhere near the size of Avlis, so you only get one each week. Also, it may be a clue to a location, it could be little history, a fun fact, an answer to a question that I have been asked often, or all of the above. (You may use location clues to snoop around IG, but other information is OOC. If you want your characters to know Hala's history, then they should be asking around IG.)

So, here is your first FOIG: FAQ's about Enrique

Whats the deal with Mirtho's crazy little kitten?

Enrique first showed up in New Heavens with his mother shortly before the village's destruction. He escaped along with many of the original buildings and residents of New Havens who all settled in Mirtho Rest. After all the dust had settled, his mother was nowhere to be found, so he was adopted by the whole village.

Why does he have a taste for demons?

That was never fully explained, but it probably has to do with the fact that the demon/celestial war was in full swing when he was created, and there were a lot of attacks by demons on New Heavens at the time.

Why does he eat people?

OOC'ly, the people eating started as our way of welcoming new players to the server. In other words, if you were new to Hala and we caught you sitting around Mirtho, you were probably going to be eaten by the kitten and other pc's would come to your rescue. It was a crazy/easy way to introduce players to each other.

IC'ly, Enrique is just like any other kitten. He's very playful, mischievous, and he doesn't know when he is hurting someone. Also, just like any cat, he believes he is the center of the multiverse. That of course doesn't make him evil. He doesn't really intend to hurt anyone.

What exactly is Enrique?

That was never explained either, but looking at his stats, by the way he has always been roleplayed, and the timing of his creation, I would guess he was supposed to be related to the Naught Kittens.

He's just too weird, why keep him around?

Enrique is from a time when weird was normal for Hala. Besides reasons of sentimentality, he also serves a couple of other purposes, one old and one new. If you don't know the old one, ask a local mage. His new purpose I believe some of you have found already, but its not entirely finished yet, so you may want to visit again in a couple weeks.

What a really neat idea!

And I love his name too. Enrique the Furious. :D But yes, cats are the center of the multiverse. Ask one and they will tell you. I know my three think they are.

with my 3, 1 thinks she is the centre of the universe and spends all her time showing that this is the case and as such requires all your attention (makes life quite difficult when playing games), 1 thinks that the purpose of the universe is in fact to revolve around him and so supply endless amusement for him to just sit back and watch and the last knows that the universe only exists because he decided it does, he has no intention of proving this nor is there any point in him trying to convince you of this because any other reason would just be preposterous.
