I'm not picking on anyone specific here. I've seen a few people attempt this recently and its usually ignored by both players and team. But, in order to prevent any ooc arguments between players I am giving you all a little nudge.
We have this policy for two important reasons.NWDuneAuron wrote:PCs cannot remove posts made by other PCs. Only an NPC, controlled by a DM, with a legitimate reason to do so may. If PCs could, it'd be abused horrifically.
If you want to get back at someone who's insulting you.. swords work.
First, when you "emote" removing a post, but it doesn't actually get deleted its easy for other players to miss that it isn't supposed to be there and reply, which tends to cause a lot of IC confusion and OOC squabbling.
Second, we don't make a habit of deleting IC posts because its basic common courtesy not to. Some people put a lot of effort into what they write. Would YOU want something you took the time to write deleted simply because someone else emoted ripping it down?
So as Dune wrote in the quote above, if someone writes something that offends you, please deal with it IG, person to person rather than trying to remove the offending message.
