Rudiki apologizes (and so do I) for not being able to MOSEY tonight. Our favorite guinea hen needed to go to the vet, and since that's an hour's drive in the direction of DC, where Rudiki's sister had just been released from the hospital, Rudiki decided to go on from there to help look after her.

The guinea has peritonitis but the vet seemed optimistic if I manage to get her antibiotics into her every day.

No word on the sister yet.

I hope both guinea and sister recover and feel better soon. Don't worry about the MOSEY, you didn't miss anything (aside from IC cake) and I did some more work on my laptop while Jay was sitting alone there.

Quick update: My sister's cancer has definitely returned after 8 years, but at least we now have test results and a plan of action. I will still be around as much as I can, but this will take up a lot of my time for now. We could use all the ju-ju of any sort that anyone wants to throw our way. Thanks, and I miss you.

I will no longer be able to make the regular weekly meetings my characters are involved with on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I'll try to think of some reasonable IC excuse for this as soon as possible, but I might not be able to. In such case, please don't assume my characters are shirking their duties. I do feel very bad for letting the game down like this, and I am very, very sorry. I may be able to show up on occasion. When this storm is over (which will take several months at least) I will try to return, but if for any reason I can't, thank you all so, so much for all the good times.

You shouldn’t feel bad about “letting the game down” as you are doing it rather than letting your family down and family comes first. I hope you do manage to show up on occasion as you will be missed but more important is that you need and deserve to have a break sometimes. My best wishes that you weather the rest of this storm and my gratitude for all the joy you have given other players.
