Jewelcrafting changed while I was away?
Star mined some gems ans went to the crafting table in her player housing. While trying to polish some malachite it kept consuming a rough one, saying successful, but I never got anything in return. When I exited out of the conversation window with the crafting table it just disappeared. I did not have time to investigate more before work but has there been a change to the system I need to read up on? I do not know why the table would disappear.

This is a script issue on the placeable so we'll get it fixed asap for you.
In the mean time, there is a gem cutter that you can carry round as well. Various PC's can point you in the right direction
