"You logged out while dying"

Nice idea to prevent people from using the old "off" button to avoid DP'ing. Today, however, I logged in and got zapped down to -1 hp without having logged off in negatives. Fortunately, I stablized at -8. I was in a DM event last eve, and ended up having to log out in the middle of it. I Was at full HP when I logged out. I did go to neg hp once during the fight, but someone healed me. How can I avoid being zapped like this in the future? Should I rest before logging? Save loc? what?

Save every time you log if you can. Worse things can happen than logging in dead, like logging into unaccessible places of the server where you die and cant get your stuff till reset or DM intervention. Don't end up like Gulliver!! Save before you zonk out on the beach!!
