Druids

Post by plap33 »

Hello,

I recently started playing a Druid on Hala and I have a couple questions.

First of all, the wiki is a little unclear as to whether druids draw their power form a god or from nature. The wiki contradicts itself. I have been playing that my druid is a worshiper of Frigga because I think it fits the character, but I would like to know from whom/what my spells are supposed to come from.

Second, I was gifted a bow from Dan'eth when I first started playing (thanks Dan'eth). My question is, can my elf druid use a bow and arrows or is that against the druid's oath.

Anyway, thanks in advance and I just want to say that I love playing on Hala. The world is put together well and very immersing. The only thing I would like to see changed are the ingredient icons; they don't look like what they are.

Thanks plap33

Hala does not require druids to follow a god, they draw their power from nature. But that does not mean they can't or shouldn't follow a god.

Psye can you give our newest druid access to the druid forums?

Thanks!

The WIKI is very self-conflicting. I edited it to reflect Trinity's ruling.

Updated Druid WIKI page.

I've heard nothing about a rule against using a Bow, (Since elves have the Elven Weapon subset.) And have had Druids that used them as well. Could staff perhaps give us a formal ruling?

I think it's fine to use a bow since your druid should realize the necessity of surviving on The Plane of Battle and/or protecting the woodlands. Your druid needs a weapon and a lot of basic druid weapons have wood in them, like a sickle. An all-metal weapon could still be considered unnatural and against nature.

But, yes, uh, Team Ruling please!

You're fine to use a bow
